Guri-si, Partial Amendment to Urban Planning Ordinance Promulgated

Revision of Related Provisions Due to Floor Area Ratio Increase and Amendments to Higher-Level Laws

Guri-si, Partial Amendment to Urban Planning Ordinance Promulgated Guri City Hall exterior.

The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 4th that it promulgated the 'Partial Amendment to the Guri City Urban Planning Ordinance' on the 27th of last month, which includes changes to related provisions such as the application of increased floor area ratio in the Type 3 General Residential Area and amendments to laws and regulations.

The main change is to raise the floor area ratio of the Type 3 General Residential Area from the existing 280% to the maximum legal floor area ratio limit of 300%, aiming to establish conditions for fairness in the city and smooth implementation of housing projects.

Additionally, reflecting amendments to higher-level laws, the ordinance revises standards for hearing residents' opinions during urban management plan formulation, adjusts regulations related to non-urban areas, and incorporates amendments from other laws.

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri said, “This ordinance amendment is expected to help revitalize the local economy and guarantee citizens' property rights,” adding, “We will continue to strive to implement future-oriented urban planning policies.”
