Education Inequality and Net Zero to Be Discussed on the 16th of Next Month
The Gyeonggi-do Pyeongtaek International Exchange Foundation is recruiting participants for the "3rd Asia Youth Future Forum" to be held at the Songtan International Exchange Center on November 16.
This forum is an event that the foundation has been hosting since 2022 with the theme of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It has been conducted by forming multinational teams composed of young people residing in Korea and from Asian nationalities, aiming for policy participation through joint future planning and vision presentation by Asian youth.
This year's forum will feature keynote presentations and discussions on solving educational inequality and achieving Net-zero 2050, aiming for joint policy proposals in Asia. The official language is English, and simultaneous interpretation services will be provided for observers and supporters.
Youth aged 19 to 29 of Korean and Asian nationalities are eligible to apply, and the foundation will accept applications via Google Forms until the 20th. Participants will be selected through a first-round document screening and a second-round English video interview. Selected individuals will be organized into multinational teams of four and begin preparatory activities for the forum.
Jung Jongpil, CEO of the Pyeongtaek International Exchange Foundation, said, "Educational inequality and net-zero are important issues directly linked to income inequality and climate change," adding, "We look forward to problem-raising and visionary policy proposals through discussions by Asian youth who will grow into leaders of the global future."
