Kiwoom Securities announced on the 4th that it will hold an event from the 2nd to December 30th, offering up to 140,000 KRW in benefits when trading ETFs through the brokerage-type ISA account.
This event provides customers who trade ETFs from the designated asset management companies with Starbucks gifticons worth up to 140,000 KRW based on the net purchase amount (purchase amount minus sale amount) of ETFs.
The eligible asset management companies' ETFs include Kiwoom Asset Management (KOSEF, Heroes), Mirae Asset Global Investments (TIGER), Samsung Asset Management (KODEX), Korea Investment Management (ACE), KB Asset Management (RISE), Timefolio Asset Management (TIMEFOLIO), and Truston Asset Management (TRUSTON). The net purchase amount is calculated individually by each asset management company.
The brokerage-type ISA account allows direct management of domestic listed stocks and various financial products within a single account. For general accounts, tax exemption benefits apply up to 2 million KRW (up to 4 million KRW for the low-income type) on profits generated within the account. However, if the account is terminated before the mandatory subscription period ends, tax special cases will apply, and income tax may be reclaimed.
A Kiwoom Securities representative stated, "ETFs combine the advantages of efficient diversification and the ease of trading like stocks," adding, "We hope this will be a great opportunity for customers to enjoy diverse ETF investment experiences and event benefits through the brokerage-type ISA account, which also offers tax-saving advantages."
