KOSPI Starts Slightly Higher... Battle at 2560 Level

KOSDAQ Also Rises

The KOSPI is fluctuating around the 2560 level in the early session. The KOSDAQ is slightly rising due to simultaneous buying by institutions and foreigners.

As of 9:26 a.m. on the 4th, the KOSPI is at 2563.62, up 1.93 points (0.08%) from the previous trading day. The KOSPI opened at 2563.7, up 2.01 points (0.08%), and is remaining around the flat line.

In the securities market, individuals are net buyers with 159 billion KRW. Institutions and foreigners are net sellers with 44.8 billion KRW and 131.1 billion KRW, respectively.

Large-cap stocks among the top market capitalization are showing mixed trends.

Samsung Biologics (2.87%), SK Hynix (1.77%), Celltrion (0.26%), Kia (0.20%) are on the rise. On the other hand, LG Energy Solution (-2.33%), Hyundai Motor (-1.27%), Shinhan Financial Group (-1.07%), POSCO Holdings (-0.93%) are declining.

At the same time, the KOSDAQ is trading at 767.21, up 5.08 points (0.67%) from the previous session. The KOSDAQ started trading at 763.73, up 1.6 points (0.21%), and is increasing its gains.

Individuals and institutions are net buyers with 7 billion KRW and 13.9 billion KRW, respectively, while foreigners are net sellers with 18 billion KRW.

Most of the top market capitalization stocks on the KOSDAQ are showing strength. Silicon투 (4.01%), Alteogen (3.57%), Hugel (3.52%), Ligand Chem Bio (3.78%), Lino Industrial (1.47%), HPSP (1.57%), Samchundang Pharmaceutical (0.87%) are mostly rising. Only Enchem (-1.18%), Classys (-0.18%), and EcoPro BM (-0.21%) are weak.
