Gyeonggi Province will hold job fairs targeting middle-aged and elderly people in 31 cities and counties within the province by the end of this year.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 4th that it plans to hold recruitment fairs connecting customized jobs for the elderly and middle-aged in 31 cities and counties by December, with the first event being the "Gyeonggi Province 5070 Job Fair" held over two days on the 7th and 8th of this month at KINTEX in Goyang.
This job fair focuses on enabling elderly and middle-aged individuals to find employment in various occupations tailored to their individual abilities and experience.
Through the fair, Gyeonggi Province plans to increase the proportion of elderly and middle-aged workers in excellent mid-sized and small companies within the province and expand elderly jobs, which have been concentrated in simple occupations, into various quality jobs.
At the northern regional fair held at KINTEX on the 7th and 8th, more than 150 companies seeking to hire elderly and middle-aged workers in technical, production, and office positions will participate to provide customized job opportunities.
Oh Hu-seok, Deputy Governor for Administration of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "The population of elderly and middle-aged people is increasing every year, and job-seeking demand is also rising, but it is difficult to find quality jobs. We expect that the fair will provide quality jobs that match the abilities and experience of job seekers. We will continue to make efforts to create jobs and improve welfare for the elderly and middle-aged."
