Yeongcheon Grapes with Rich Sunlight Offer the Best Taste, Aroma, and Sweetness... Special Promotion at Lotte Mart and Lotte Super Nationwide

Yeongcheon City (Mayor Choi Kimoon) announced that from the 2nd to the 8th, for seven days, the "Yeongcheon Grape Festival Special Sales Event with Lotte Mart Nationwide" is being held simultaneously at 107 Lotte Mart stores and 208 Lotte Super stores across the country, including Seoul.

This special sales event is designed not only to increase the actual sales volume of Yeongcheon grapes and promote their excellence, but also to actively support and foster win-win cooperation with fruit farmers who have faced hardships this year due to cold damage and prolonged heatwaves until September. With the main shipping season underway, a total of 70,000 boxes (1.5kg each) of Shine Muscat and MBA grapes, amounting to about 105 tons, are being actively supplied to major urban markets to help stabilize farmers' incomes.

Representatives of public institutions in Yeongcheon are promoting Yeongcheon grapes during the Yeongcheon Grape Festival.

On the first day of the special event, the 2nd, Mayor Choi Kimoon of Yeongcheon, Kim Seontae, Chairman of Yeongcheon City Council, Kim Jonguk, Vice Chairman of the City Council, Park Seongyong, Head of Yeongcheon Branch of Nonghyup, and Seong Yeonggeun, President of Yeongcheon Agricultural Cooperative, visited the Lotte Mart Zeta Plex Seoul Station branch in person to promote Yeongcheon grapes and take the lead in publicizing their excellence.

Mayor Choi Kimoon stated, "Yeongcheon produces grapes with outstanding taste, aroma, and sweetness thanks to the large temperature difference between day and night and abundant sunlight," and added, "We will continue to promote the excellent quality of Yeongcheon grapes and strive to secure stable sales channels."

Meanwhile, Yeongcheon City has consistently held special sales events for Yeongcheon grapes at Lotte Mart every year to promote their excellence. In 2023, 180 tons of MBA grapes and 120 tons of Shine Muscat were sold, achieving total sales of 1.5 billion KRW. This year, special sales events have also been held at Mega Mart Busan Dongnae branch, Hanaro Mart Seoul Yangjae, Nam Changwon, Daegu Seongseo, and Jeju Island branches, receiving great response from consumers. In addition, a Yeongcheon Grape Festival with consumers is planned to be held at Homeplus stores nationwide in October.
