Checked Progress of Major Projects and Explored Future Response Plans

Goyang City Council K-Culture Valley Special Committee Visits Project Site The Special Committee for the Successful Completion of K-Culture Valley of Goyang City Council visited the construction site of the suspended K-Culture Valley project and the Hallyucheon waterfront space development project on the 2nd, and took a commemorative photo afterward.

The Special Committee for the Successful Completion of K-Culture Valley of Goyang City Council in Gyeonggi Province visited the site of the K-Culture Valley construction suspension and the Hallyu Stream waterfront space creation project (Janghang-dong and Daehwa-dong areas) on the 2nd. They received reports and Q&A sessions from related personnel and departments, actively checking the progress of major projects and seeking future response plans.


According to Goyang City Council on the 3rd, Chairman Choi Seong-won, Vice Chairman Son Dong-sook, and committee members Go Deok-hee, Kim Su-jin, Kim Hak-young, Kim Hae-ryeon, Lee Cheol-jo, and Jo Hyun-sook met directly with stakeholders at the planned site of the K-Culture Valley project to create a communication opportunity.


During the schedule, under the guidance of on-site personnel, they directly inspected the project site and exchanged in-depth reports and Q&A on △ key status of K-Culture Valley △ Hallyu Stream waterfront space creation project, and current issues from departments such as the Economic Free Zone Promotion Division and Ilsan Park Management Division. In particular, they focused on discussing future progress plans at the Goyang city level.


Chairman Choi Seong-won said through the site visit, “As this is a long-cherished project of 1.08 million Goyang citizens, we will strive to find smooth solutions for regional development through close communication and cooperation among related institutions.”


Vice Chairman Son Dong-sook also said, “I hope Gyeonggi Province will make the most responsible and best choice regarding the prompt resumption of construction for Goyang citizens, safety issues at the construction site caused by project cancellation, and maintenance issues of Hallyu Stream.”


Meanwhile, the Special Committee for the Successful Completion of K-Culture Valley in Goyang City was launched on July 30 and is working hard for the successful completion of K-Culture Valley, a long-standing wish of 1.08 million Goyang citizens.
