Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) held the 1st Mapo-gu Mayor's Cup "The Happy Mapo I Dream Of" Drawing and Writing Contest on the morning of the 3rd at the Mapo-gu Residents Sports Center Gymnasium.
About 200 elementary, middle, and high school students residing in or attending schools in Mapo-gu participated in the contest, along with about 100 family members and others who came to support the participants.
On the day, participants expressed their imagination on the provided drawing paper and writing sheets, depicting "The Happy Mapo I Dream Of."
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, who visited the site, said, "If you express 'Happy Mapo' through your unlimited imagination and creativity in drawings and writings, we adults will do our best to realize the Mapo you dream of."
He added, "Mapo-gu will create a happy Mapo where children and youth can freely pursue their dreams, with the mindset that you are all our children."
