Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) announced on the 3rd that 50 graduates of the New Middle-aged Digital Job Center training have been participating in the 'Gangnam New Start Internship' program since the 2nd.


The 'New Middle-aged Digital Job Center,' the first public-private cooperative job training facility operated by Gangnam-gu, supports job matching along with training in 4th industrial revolution-related jobs, entrepreneurship, and basic skills for residents aged 40 to 64. This internship program is expected to provide new middle-aged individuals with practical work experience and career transition opportunities by working alongside the MZ generation in a transformed organizational culture.


The center recruited 30 companies in need of new middle-aged personnel and held an internship agreement ceremony on the 26th of last month. The 50 participants in this internship will work for two months in fields such as education and consulting, promotion and marketing, and office administration, with the participating companies receiving employment subsidies of up to 2.6 million KRW.


District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong stated, "I hope this internship program, which provides new challenges for the new middle-aged generation, will successfully establish itself and help more middle-aged individuals find new roles in society," adding, "We will continue to expand job policies that enable various generations to grow together."
