Global Cultural Creative Industry Festival 'Creative×Seongsu' Held Across Seongsu-dong from October 7 to 13
Appointment Ceremony at Seongdong-gu Office on September 24, Aiming to Promote the Festival as a Representative Event of Seongdong-gu and Encourage Greater Citizen Participation
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeong Wono) announced the appointment of Super Junior's Leeteuk and the 5-member hip-hop group Young Posse as ambassadors for the 2024 Creative×Seongsu campaign.
'2024 Creative×Seongsu' is a global cultural creative industry festival created through collaboration between cultural creative companies located in Seongdong-gu and the district itself, under the slogan "Intertwined, Boiling, and Overflowing in Seongsu."
The festival will be held throughout Seongsu-dong for seven days from October 7 to October 13, hosted by the Seongdong Cultural Foundation and organized by the Seongdong Cultural City Center.
The event will showcase a wide spectrum of culture and arts, including the CT Fair (Cultural Creative Industry Fair) featuring innovative content through cooperation between cultural technology and content companies, an AI-themed conference, the world's largest treasure hunt, outdoor fashion shows and performances, art fairs, local travel, webtoon talk shows, and craft markets.
To encourage greater citizen participation and establish '2024 Creative×Seongsu' as a representative festival of Seongdong-gu, the district appointed Super Junior's Leeteuk and Young Posse as promotional ambassadors at Seongdong-gu Office on September 24.
Leeteuk of Super Junior (under SM Entertainment), who is also a resident of Seongdong-gu, said, "Although I could not attend the appointment ceremony due to overseas schedules, I am honored to serve as an ambassador for this global cultural creative industry festival representing Seongdong-gu as a local resident. I will actively promote 'Creative×Seongsu' to receive greater love and attention."
Young Posse, under DSP Media and Beats Entertainment, also expressed their enthusiasm, saying, "'2024 Creative×Seongsu' ambassador appointment is a great honor. We will do our best to widely promote the festival filled with the unique characteristics of Seongsu-dong."
Jeong Wono, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, "I expect Leeteuk and Young Posse, appointed as ambassadors, to play an important role in raising interest in 'Creative×Seongsu' and encouraging more people to participate. Through the cultural creative industry festival 'Creative×Seongsu,' I hope Seongsu-dong will be reborn as a global cultural hub and firmly establish itself as a representative festival driving the growth engine of the local industry."
