Yangju Urban Corporation Conducts Environmental Cleanup Activity for 'Creating Clean Streets'

Promotion of ESG Management and Provision of Public Environmental Services to Local Communities

Gyeonggi Yangju Urban Corporation conducted the '2024 Clean Street Environmental Cleanup Activity' around Okjeong Lake Park in Yangju City on the 30th of last month and is taking a commemorative photo afterward.

Gyeonggi Yangju Urban Corporation (President Lee Heung-gyu) announced on the 2nd that it conducted the '2024 Clean Street Environmental Cleanup Activity' around Okjeong Lake Park in Yangju City on the 30th of last month.

This environmental cleanup activity was promoted as part of practicing ESG management and providing public environmental services. Employees from Okjeong Lake Sports Center and Yangju National Sports Center voluntarily participated, contributing to environmental protection and creating a clean environment in the local community.

The cleanup took place in various locations including roadsides and bus stops around Okjeong Lake Park, a representative cultural park in Okjeong New Town, Yangju City. Activities included collecting illegally dumped trash and removing weeds to improve the cityscape and provide citizens with pleasant walking paths.

Lee Heung-gyu, President of Yangju Urban Corporation, said, “This environmental cleanup activity is an example of practicing ESG management values and positively impacting the local community. The voluntary participation of employees makes it even more meaningful.” He added, “We will continue to pay close attention and make efforts to improve the urban environment and fulfill the corporation’s social responsibilities.”
