Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 2nd that it will accept applications for next year's support project for the repair of aging apartment complexes until the 15th of next month to create a pleasant and safe residential complex.
The aging apartment repair support project includes support for the repair and maintenance of common facilities within the complex such as △roof waterproofing △CCTV replacement △streetlight (security light) repair △children's playground repair △repair of retaining walls, stone walls, fences, etc. that are at risk of collapse.
According to the Housing Act, support of up to 30 million KRW per apartment complex is provided for apartment complexes that have passed 10 years since the usage inspection (before December 31, 2014).
However, for elevator repair/replacement and small-scale apartment complexes (non-mandatory complexes), the target is apartment complexes that have passed 15 years since the usage inspection (before December 31, 2009).
The city has been promoting this project since 2005, and including 45 complexes this year, it has supported the repair of aging common facilities in a total of 614 complexes to date.
The application and submission period is 45 days from today (the 2nd) until the 15th of next month. Applications can be submitted to the Housing Division of City Hall with the required documents.
However, complexes that had their support decision canceled within the last 5 years or applied for support with the same content within 5 years after receiving support are excluded from eligibility.
Detailed information can be found on the Namyangju City website under Namyangju City News or the Public Notices section.
The city plans to conduct preliminary reviews through document screening and on-site inspections in November and December, followed by a practical review team in January next year, and finally select the supported complexes through the Apartment Support Deliberation Committee around the end of January.
