Over 30 Related Agencies Participate... Encouraging Driver Consideration and Safe Driving
Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 2nd that it conducted the 'Children First' traffic safety campaign in front of Gapyeong Elementary School on the 27th of last month.
The 'Children First' traffic safety campaign, promoted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, encourages drivers to stop at crosswalks within school zones and drive considerately so that children can cross safely.
About 30 participants from related organizations, including Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Gapyeong Office of Education, Gapyeong Police Station, Gapyeong Elementary School, Gapyeong Model Drivers Association, and Gapyeong Green Mothers' Union, took part in the campaign that day.
During the campaign, they distributed leaflets and promotional materials to drivers, promoting compliance with school zone regulations such as △ stopping first at crosswalks △ driving slowly and carefully △ prohibiting illegal parking and stopping △ checking for the presence of children before driving.
