Korea GM's Global Sales Up 6% in September... Clear Recovery in Exports

GM Korea announced on the 2nd that its global sales in September reached 38,967 units (complete vehicles), a 6.6% increase compared to the same month last year.


GM Korea's overseas sales in September recorded 37,009 units, a 9% increase compared to the same month last year. In particular, the Chevrolet Trax crossover (including derivative models) led the performance by selling 23,736 units in overseas markets, a 14.7% increase year-on-year.

Additionally, the Chevrolet Trailblazer (including derivative models) sold 13,273 units in overseas markets during September, marking a 0.5% increase compared to the same month last year. The Trailblazer has consistently proven its popularity in the global market with its sleek design and excellent product competitiveness.


GM Korea plant's domestic sales in September were 1,958 units. The Chevrolet Trax crossover led domestic sales performance by selling 1,444 units, a 1.4% increase compared to the same month last year. Furthermore, the Chevrolet Traverse recorded 84 units sold domestically in September, a 44.8% increase year-on-year. The Chevrolet Traverse continues to maintain steady popularity in the imported large sport utility vehicle (SUV) market with its overwhelming body size and best-in-class power performance.


Gustavo Colossi, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Marketing at GM Korea, said, "From the Trax crossover and Trailblazer to the recently launched All-New Colorado, the Chevrolet brand is continuously strengthening its product portfolio to meet the diverse lifestyles of domestic customers," adding, "As the Chevrolet large SUV Traverse is receiving a positive response, we will strive to maintain the upward momentum."
