Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 2nd that it has produced an 'Address Information Promotional Video' that can quickly and accurately identify locations in emergency situations.
This video was created to promote the importance of location identification using the national grid reference system and object addresses, introducing the unfamiliar concepts of 'National Grid Reference Number' and 'Object Address' to citizens.
It was produced with the theme of workplace power harassment culture, featuring employees themselves humorously satirizing generational conflicts, which has received great response. It can be viewed on Uijeongbu City's official YouTube channel.
The National Grid Reference Number is an address information facility used for rapid location guidance and rescue in non-residential areas such as coastlines and hiking trails. Additionally, the Object Address system assigns addresses to places where location identification was previously difficult, such as vacant lots or bus stops, enabling rescue requests to be made using the address recorded on the address palm in case of emergencies.
Kim Jeong-seop, Director of the Land Information Division, said, "We will continue to produce fun and informative road name address promotional videos to help citizens easily understand and utilize address information."
