Hanam-si Policy Monitoring Group 2nd Term Launched... Proposing Policies by Collecting Opinions by Region The 2nd Policy Monitoring Group of Hanam City held an inauguration ceremony and workshop at the Hanam City Lifelong Learning Center on the 30th of last month.

Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) is officially launching the 2nd Policy Monitoring Group, which gathers opinions from local residents to propose policies necessary for the development of city administration.

According to Hanam City on the 2nd, the 2nd Policy Monitoring Group held its inauguration ceremony and workshop at the Hanam City Lifelong Learning Center on the 30th of last month.

The Policy Monitoring Group is composed of citizens highly interested in the issues of the four districts of Hanam City (Wondosim, Misa, Gam-il, Wirye), serving as a policy think tank that collects public opinion from local residents and proposes policies needed in each area.

The 1st Policy Monitoring Group was launched in September 2022 to strengthen communication with citizens pursued by the 8th elected administration, actively evaluating policies in various fields such as administration, urban development, culture and leisure, and long-standing projects over the past two years.

The newly launched 2nd Policy Monitoring Group consists of 40 members, 10 more than before, who will evaluate policies in various fields and propose new policies.

Additionally, the 2nd group has reinforced the number of members considering the previously low ratio of members from the Gam-il and Wirye areas.

Starting with the workshop held on this day, the Policy Monitoring Group will hold regular meetings every two months to communicate local inconveniences that are difficult for the city to identify and engage in policy recommendation activities to solve these problems.

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae emphasized, “Hanam City will actively support the 2nd Policy Monitoring Group so that they can quickly identify citizens’ policy demands and propose solutions, leading to substantial changes in city administration.”
