Yangpyeong County Council Conducts 'Capacity Building Training' for Members and Staff Yangpyeong County Council conducted capacity-building training for county council members and administrative staff at the Shija Park Healing Center on the 27th of last month.

The Yangpyeong County Council in Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Hwang Seon-ho) announced on the 2nd that it conducted capacity-building training at the Shijapark Healing Center on the 27th of last month for council members and administrative staff.


This capacity-building training was divided into ‘Integrity and Conflict of Interest Prevention Training’ and ‘Prevention Training for the Four Major Types of Violence (sexual harassment, sexual violence, prostitution, domestic violence).’ For the ‘Integrity and Conflict of Interest Prevention Training,’ Han Mi-ri, a registered instructor at the Integrity Training Institute, was invited to provide practical training focused on cases, covering council members’ ethics and code of conduct, integrity order, standards of conduct for public officials, and conflict of interest management measures.


Additionally, for the ‘Four Major Types of Violence Prevention Training,’ Ahn Myung-ja, an integrated specialist instructor on violence prevention from the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education, was invited to conduct training emphasizing the understanding of gender sensitivity, prevention of the four major types of violence, and exploring practical measures, highlighting the roles and responsibilities of the members.


Chairman Hwang Seon-ho stated, “Through this capacity-building training, it was a meaningful time for the 9th Yangpyeong County Council members and administrative staff to establish a culture of integrity and proper public service discipline and to foster a sound and healthy workplace atmosphere.”


Meanwhile, the Yangpyeong County Council is making efforts to create a more transparent and trustworthy council by promoting capacity-building training, including the legally mandated ‘Four Major Types of Violence Prevention Training’ every year.
