A military doctor who was dispatched to work at a university hospital filed a complaint with the police, claiming that he was subjected to online harassment in an online community.
On the 2nd, the Cyber Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that military doctor A filed a complaint against unidentified individuals for defamation and violation of the Stalking Punishment Act.
A is reported to have claimed that the unidentified individuals, suspected to be fellow military doctors, posted multiple articles and comments on the doctor and medical student community MedisStaff containing his name and social media profile pictures, spreading false information such as "he applied for an extension of his dispatch."
The police plan to investigate whether there is any criminal suspicion based on A's complaint and track down the authors of the posts and comments.
