Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) and Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) are fostering the Suwon Gwanggyo 'Public Knowledge Industry Center' as a bio startup hub.
GH announced on the 2nd that it signed a mutual cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) last month on the 30th at a restaurant in Suwon to promote the Gwanggyo District bio convergence industry and support startups. Key officials, including GH President Kim Se-yong and GBSA Director Kang Seong-cheon, attended the agreement ceremony.
As part of Gyeonggi Province's initiative to revitalize the ‘Gwanggyo Bio Cluster,’ the two organizations agreed to cooperate in developing the Gwanggyo District Public Knowledge Industry Center, scheduled for completion in 2027, as a startup hub for the bio convergence industry and startups.
In particular, they plan to install a diagnostic medical device prototype production support center at the Gwanggyo District Public Knowledge Industry Center to provide a breakthrough for companies that have faced difficulties in business promotion due to lack of manufacturing infrastructure or cost issues.
Additionally, regarding building and facility design and startup support programs, they will actively reflect the demands of companies wishing to move in, cooperating in supporting resident companies and facility operations so that the Gwanggyo Public Knowledge Industry Center can serve as Gyeonggi Province’s ‘startup hub.’
