Dong-A University Department of Fashion Design Holds Hyeam Scholarship Award Ceremony

Funded by Professor Emeritus Sim Buja's Donation, Three Undergraduates Receive 1 Million Won Each

The Department of Fashion Design at Dong-A University (headed by Shin-Young Lee) held the '2024 Second Semester Hyeam Scholarship Award Ceremony.'

The Hyeam Scholarship was established using the pen name 'Hyeam' of Honorary Professor Buja Shim and has been awarded for 13 years since the second semester of 2011. Honorary Professor Shim has continuously donated funds to the department to foster professional talent in fashion design, creating a unique scholarship culture within the Department of Fashion Design.

The Department of Fashion Design at Dong-A University held the Hyeam Scholarship Award Ceremony and is taking a commemorative photo.

At the recent scholarship ceremony, three students?Eunjin Park (3rd year), Sangmin Kim (2nd year), and Jueon Kang (1st year)?were each awarded 1 million KRW, totaling 3 million KRW. With this, the Hyeam Scholarship in the Department of Fashion Design has been awarded to a total of 70 students up to this semester.

Eunjin Park said, "I had many concerns about my career path, but I feel proud that good opportunities have come my way because I didn't give up and worked hard. I am grateful to Honorary Professor Shim Buja and will work even harder from now on."

Sangmin Kim stated, "I believe it is truly meaningful to receive a scholarship from the honorary professor, and I will continue to work hard in my studies and strive to grow as a student." Jueon Kang also shared, "It is an honor to receive a scholarship from the honorary professor, and I will continue to grow as a fashion major."
