Chuncheon City "Will Fully Support Traffic Control to Ensure a Safe Festival"

Chuncheon City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Yuk Dong-han) announced that the 2024 Chuncheon City University Union Festival will be held for two days from the 7th to the 8th, hosted by Hallym University, around the Hallym University Main Stadium and the Songam Sports Town Main Stadium.

This year's Chuncheon City University Union Festival will begin with an opening ceremony at 4:40 PM on the 7th at the special stage in Hallym University Main Stadium, followed by various events such as a parade, sports activities, flea market (plimarket), and corporate promotional spaces.

Regarding the festival, Chuncheon City stated that it is providing administrative support to ensure a safe festival. First, a joint inspection of Hallym University Main Stadium was conducted at 10 AM on the 7th, and an emergency medical team will be on standby during the festival period. Additionally, traffic control and deployment of police officers and safety personnel were coordinated for the parade from Hoban Square at Chuncheon City Hall to Hallym University Main Stadium, which will take place for 40 minutes starting at 4 PM on the 7th.

Furthermore, support is being provided for temporary operation permits for food trucks, issuance of hygiene and health certificates for the flea market, and review of disaster response plans for performances.

A Chuncheon City official said, “Since this event is held for exchange and harmony among the five universities in Chuncheon, we will provide maximum support to prevent any unfortunate incidents such as safety accidents.”
