Vice Chairman Yoon then introduced the global competitiveness and status of K-Beauty and explained the reasons for K-Beauty's recent success in the global market. He cited ▲research and development (R&D) based on innovation ▲expansion of young customers centered on online ▲a diverse range of category products responsible for daily life as the success factors of K-Beauty.
Now in its third year, Seoul Beauty Week is a beauty expo planned and participated in by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and domestic beauty companies. It is held for three days from the 1st of this month at Seoul DDP as well as urban beauty hotspots such as Myeongdong, Hongdae, and Gangnam Station. This year, the focus was on expanding business support for small and medium-sized beauty brands to strengthen the competitiveness of the K-Beauty industry.
Kolmar Korea, as an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM), participated as the representative partner company of Seoul Beauty Week for the third consecutive year. At this event, along with the company’s existing promotional booth, a 'Client Popup Store' composed of indie brands is also operated. The intention is to continue co-growth with indie brands.
Kolmar’s corporate promotional booth exhibited cosmetic raw materials, formulations, and containers under the concept of 'Kolmar leads the market.' A consulting program for prospective entrepreneurs or business operators is also held here. The pre-registration for consulting, which started on the 13th of last month, was closed within a week of the announcement.
At the client popup store, visitors can find products from indie brands collaborating with Kolmar Korea. Steady-selling products from seven indie brands including DUEM, make P:rem, DEMAR3, hamel, UIQ, tooq, and LYLYL can be seen and purchased directly.
Kolmar Korea also participates as a judging panel for the 'Business Meetup Pitching Competition' held from the 2nd, the second day of the event. The meetup pitching competition is designed to discover and support promising startups with innovative technologies and unique ideas. Winning companies are given opportunities for business collaboration with leading beauty companies. Kolmar Korea invested 600 million KRW in 'Trend Maker (Dinto),' which won the Encouragement Award at the first Business Meetup Pitching Competition in 2022.
A Kolmar Korea official said, "It feels even more special to participate in the event for the third time this year together with clients who are currently at the center of K-Beauty," adding, "Through this event, we plan to continuously support various domestic indie beauty companies to reach the global market."
