October 2-6 at Gyeryongdae, Chungnam: Exhibition of sniper rifles, special firearms, and unveiling of electric motors for military vehicles
"We will strive even harder to enhance the reputation of 'K-Defense' based on our longstanding global competitiveness"
SNT Motiv, a global manufacturer of small-caliber firearms, will participate in the Korea International Defense Industry Exhibition (KADEX 2024) to showcase its latest small-caliber firearms currently under development.
From October 2 to 6, at Gyeryongdae in Chungnam, SNT Motiv will display its full K-series lineup of domestically produced small-caliber firearms, including rifles, pistols, machine guns, and sniper rifles.
SNT Motiv is highlighting its semi-automatic sniper rifles by caliber and firearms designed for special operations. The STSR23 7.62mm semi-automatic sniper rifle is being developed to strengthen infantry squad capabilities, with ongoing improvements based on in-house testing and evaluation.
While maintaining the accuracy of the existing K14 sniper rifle, the operation system has been changed to a semi-automatic (Gas Piston) type, allowing the rifleman to perform sniper duties when necessary. The STSR20 12.7mm anti-materiel sniper rifle is under development to meet the growing need for long-range and powerful sniper rifles capable of targeting vehicles, light armored vehicles, and distant targets.
The STSM21 9mm submachine gun and the hammerless type STP9 9mm pistol, both developed for special operations missions, have seen improvements in design and user convenience over their initial models.
In particular, the STSM21 submachine gun has passed internal testing and is now being showcased in a more refined form, with export negotiations currently underway. A standalone 40mm grenade launcher, which can be operated independently without being attached to a firearm, will also be exhibited.
An SNT Motiv official stated, "Through this exhibition, we aim to demonstrate the wide-ranging technological capabilities of our small-caliber firearms, and we are also presenting motors currently under development that apply our leading technology from passenger hybrid and electric vehicle motor manufacturing to the defense electrification sector. Since the realization of South Korea's independent national defense in the 1970s, we have built up global competitiveness over many years, and we will continue to expand our business capabilities and overseas sales network to further enhance the reputation of 'K-Defense'.
