Jung-gu, Seoul announced on the 2nd that it has newly renovated the Bukchang-dong Media Wall digital content, located along Sejong-daero 80, with a height of 2 meters and a length of 20 meters.
At the end of last year, the district introduced a transparent high-definition LED display at pedestrian eye level to improve the streetscape of the Bukchang-dong walkway while providing visitors with visual attractions.
Since the end of last month, new content such as media art, drawings, artist exhibitions, and seasonal themed videos have been added, screening a total of 35 types of videos to enhance the viewing experience.
The artist exhibition digitally reinterprets folk painting restoration works by artist Bang Heewon; media art depicts whales underwater and seaside drives; drawing videos express major projects of Jung-gu, such as the relaxation of Namsan height restrictions and Jeongdong Night Walk, using simple lines and colors; actual footage of the Namsan foothill forest trail creates a video that feels like a real walk in the forest; and future videos of Myeongdong Square, which will change due to the designation of the outdoor advertising free display zone, are also screened with music.
A district official stated, “We will continue to develop new content so that the Bukchang-dong Media Wall can establish itself as a media landmark of our district.”
