Gwanghye Hospital Donates 100 Million Won to Pusan National University College of Medicine to Support Training of Future Medical Professionals and Medical Research

Commemorating the Hospital Chairman's Great Vision on the 42nd Anniversary of Its Opening

Continuous Scholarship Donations of About 100 Million Won for 20 Years

Pusan National University (President Choi Jaewon) announced on the 1st that Lee Jaewon, Director of Gwanghye Hospital, donated 100 million KRW to the Pusan National University College of Medicine on the 27th.

At the donation ceremony held at the Dean's Office of the Pusan National University College of Medicine that day, Lee Jaewon, Director of Gwanghye Hospital, stated, "Chairman Lee Gwangwoong of Gwanghye Hospital has always taken the lead in nurturing future generations and advancing academia. Through this donation, I hope to further carry on his intentions," and added, "We will continue to maintain close cooperation with the Pusan National University College of Medicine and contribute to the development of medical research and technology."

This donation was made to commemorate the 42nd anniversary of Gwanghye Hospital and to honor the wishes of Chairman Lee Gwangwoong. It will support the activation of research and academic exchange at Pusan National University College of Medicine, which is also Chairman Lee's alma mater. The funds are expected to be used for expanding research and educational spaces and for the construction of a second medical building in the future.

Chairman Lee Gwangwoong of Gwanghye Hospital has regularly provided scholarships to local medical students. This 100 million KRW donation is a continuation of his ongoing support for academic advancement and nurturing future generations. Even amid various recent challenges in the medical community, Gwanghye Hospital continues to put Chairman Lee's philosophy into practice, striving to provide more opportunities for the local community and younger generations.
