On the 1st, LG Electronics announced that it was ranked first in sustainability for its HVAC and home appliance sectors in the '2024 Green Builder Sustainable Brand Index' recently released by Green Builder Media, a leading North American media outlet in the eco-friendly construction field.
In particular, LG Electronics' HVAC solutions, considered a key pillar in its business-to-business (B2B) operations and one of its growth drivers, topped the ranking for the first time by surpassing traditional North American leaders such as Trane and Carrier. LG Electronics offers a comprehensive air conditioning total solution optimized for various spaces including residential, public, commercial, and industrial facilities, ranging from large-scale chillers recognized for AI data center thermal management solutions to commercial system air conditioners and home air conditioners.
In the home appliance sector, LG Electronics was selected as the best sustainable brand again this year, following last year. LG Electronics' innovative products, such as the all-in-one washer-dryer WashCombo, are gaining attention as high-efficiency appliance solutions among environmentally conscious U.S. construction companies and general consumers.
Green Builder Media conducts annual surveys of more than 500 construction industry experts, including builders and developers, to publish sustainability rankings across various product categories. Green Builder Media cited LG Electronics' selection reason as "introducing a variety of innovative products that consider the environment and presenting responsible sustainability."
