On the 30th (local time), according to local media, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant gave a speech to the troops, saying, "Eliminating Nasrallah is a very important step, but it is not everything," and added, "We will use all the capabilities we have."
Local media interpreted Minister Yoav's remarks as indicating Israel's intention to conduct ground operations in Lebanon.
On the 27th, the Israeli military bombed a Hezbollah stronghold residential building in southern Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, killing Nasrallah and other Hezbollah commanders. Since then, Israel has continued bombing Lebanon while concentrating forces such as tanks at the northern border, preparing for a ground invasion.
