"Chamhun-yuk vs Harsh" Opinions Divided

On the 30th (local time), Hong Kong media South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported the story of a mother living in eastern China. She has a son in the third grade of elementary school, and she learned from his homeroom teacher that her son was bullying friends by throwing milk cartons and spraying water at school.

When her son said, "I did it because it was fun," she told him, "You should also feel how the kids who got wet felt," and made him stand outside the house while she sprayed water from the second floor. Although her son shouted, "You shouldn't spray water," the parent responded, "Didn't you say it was fun?" The water dousing stopped only after her son shed tears of remorse, saying, "I was wrong."

This video became a hot topic on Chinese social media Douyin, garnering over 6 million views. Netizens' opinions were divided. Some responded with "true education" and "the best disciplinary method," while others expressed concerns that it was "too harsh."
