Uijeongbu-si, Camp Redcloud National Design Cooperation District 3rd Advisory Committee Mayor Kim Dong-geun is conducting the 3rd Advisory Committee meeting on the establishment of the Camp Red Cloud (CRC) National Design Cooperation District (Cluster) on the 30th.

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) held the 3rd advisory committee meeting on the 30th to establish Camp Red Cloud (CRC), a U.S. military returned land, as a National Design Cooperation District (Cluster).

The meeting, held at the Kim Hyun-sun Design Institute in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, was attended by advisory committee members including the mayor and Kwon Young-geol, chairman of the National Architecture Policy Committee.

The attendees discussed the direction for preserving existing buildings within Camp Red Cloud (CRC) and the basic survey methods to assess demand for tenants in the Design Cooperation District (Cluster).

Advisory Committee Chairman Kwon Young-geol stated, “The Camp Red Cloud (CRC) National Design Cooperation District (Cluster) will become a place where the world’s best innovative designs emerge. It is also expected to be a place where the world’s top designers mix (hybridize) the latest design information to create new ideas.”

Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “The Ministry of National Defense’s environmental pollution cleanup project is scheduled to be promoted by mid-next year, making this the most critical time for establishing the National Design Cooperation District (Cluster). Regarding the preservation of existing buildings, we will consult with the Ministry of National Defense to preserve as many buildings as possible to maintain and protect the history of Camp Red Cloud (CRC).”
