BPA Begins Service for Establishing Mid- to Long-Term Advancement Plan for Chain Portal to Implement Digital Platform Government

Busan Port Authority (BPA) held a kick-off meeting on the 30th for the 'Consulting Service for Establishing a Mid- to Long-Term Plan for the Integrated Port Logistics Platform to Realize a Digital Platform Government.'

BPA Begins Service for Establishing Mid- to Long-Term Advancement Plan for Chain Portal to Implement Digital Platform Government Busan Port Authority is holding a kickoff meeting for the "Establishment of a Mid- to Long-Term Plan for an Integrated Port Logistics Platform to Implement a Digital Platform Government."

So far, BPA has continuously promoted the establishment of the integrated port logistics platform (Chain Portal) to enhance the efficiency of export/import and container transportation operations, and currently, about 17,000 port stakeholders are actively using the platform.


The main functions of this platform include the Vehicle Booking System (VBS), Transshipment Transport System (TSS), Integrated Information Inquiry Service (IIS), Electronic Delivery Order, Big Data Service, Port Hinterland Complex System, Disaster Safety System, BPA TokTok (Port Stakeholder Communication System), Port Administration Support System, and Busan Port Statistics.


This consulting service aims to establish an advancement plan for the Chain Portal project to be implemented from 2025 to 2030, with the goal of realizing a digital platform government through the vitalization of private port logistics business, the creation of a digital eco-friendly port, and data-based administration.


The main areas of focus include: ▲Establishing mid- to long-term advancement directions for the Chain Portal ▲Setting directions for realizing data-based administration ▲Redesigning the service ecosystem for carbon neutrality and private business activation ▲Developing an informatization strategy and concept verification for building a smart port carbon neutrality support platform ▲Establishing a plan for building a data distribution system to vitalize private business.


Through this consulting service, Busan Port Authority plans to gather diverse opinions from port stakeholders to establish a mid- to long-term plan for realizing a digital platform government. Based on this, BPA expects to accelerate the digital transformation of Busan Port and to promote the creation of new private port logistics businesses.
