Goyang-si Successfully Hosts ‘Lake of Light Fantasy Season 2’ Content Demonstration Event

Great Response with Various Immersive Content Presented from 27th to 29th

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 30th that the demonstration event "Reflecting the Lake of Light Fantasy Season 2," featuring five citizen experience-based immersive content works utilizing VR, AR, MR, XR, holograms, and digital art technologies, was successfully held over three days from the 27th to the 29th around Ilsan Culture Square.

This demonstration event showcased the business results of five companies selected through the "Goyang Content Commercialization Support Project" to the citizens. The "Goyang Content Commercialization Support Project" is an initiative promoted by Goyang City and the Goyang Industry Promotion Agency (Director Han Dong-gyun) to discover and support capable content companies in Goyang.

This year, the event received positive responses from citizens, especially because they could directly participate in creating content.

The five contents, all offering unique fun by allowing direct citizen participation and experience, included: , which analyzes facial expressions and voice to emit sounds and lights representing current emotions; , where users configure desired content via kiosks and broadcast it to a memorial tower; , where light follows movements on the floor and walls after passing through a laser wall; , featuring beautiful holograms along a walking path that respond to movement; and an experience of mixed reality by entering a virtual pavilion.

In particular, the stamp tour, where visitors who viewed all five works and collected stamps could participate in a roulette event, added to the enjoyment.

Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City stated, "It was a meaningful occasion to present content works produced by Goyang's highly capable content companies to our citizens," and added, "We will continue to strive to expand the foundation of the content industry and opportunities for citizens to enjoy content."
