8 Public Institutions Collaborate, 180 Participants
Providing Tours and Employment Information from Each Institution
Korea Gas Corporation partnered with eight public institutions in the Daegu area to launch an employment support program for experiential interns affiliated with each institution.
Korea Gas Corporation announced on the 2nd that it conducted the employment support program "How About Employment Here" together with public institutions located in Daegu over five days from the 23rd to the 27th of last month.
Korea Gas Corporation held a commemorative photo session for participants of the employment support program "How About Getting a Job Here" during the five days from the 23rd to the 27th of last month.
This program involved about 180 experiential interns from eight public institutions in the Daegu area, including the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Korea Education and Research Information Service, Korea Real Estate Board, Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Private Schools, Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology Planning and Evaluation, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, Korea Student Aid Foundation, and the National Information Society Agency.
Including Korea Gas Corporation, the public institutions supported experiential interns by facilitating visits to public institutions they wished to explore. In particular, they provided various information necessary for employment through explanations of each institution’s roles, major projects, and recruitment procedures.
An intern who participated in this training said, "Previously, I could only obtain limited employment information through indirect channels such as each institution’s website, but this program was very beneficial because I could directly visit each public institution and obtain high-quality, company-specific employment information."
Another participant said, "Through this program, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of institutions I was interested in, and it made me inclined to apply to those institutions when recruitment occurs in the future."
Officials from Korea Gas Corporation and other public institutions in the Daegu area stated, "We jointly promoted this employment information provision program to attract talented individuals to regional public institutions and contribute to revitalizing the local economy. We will continue to cooperate among institutions to provide high-quality information to interns."
Meanwhile, last year, Korea Gas Corporation and eight public institutions launched the mutual cooperation body "Innovation Promotion Team" to share and disseminate innovation achievements by institution. Through this, they plan to continue cooperating to solve local community issues.
