Kyungnam College of Information & Technology (President Kim Taesang) recently selected 29 students who achieved outstanding results in both academic and extracurricular areas among those participating in the Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence University Project, and awarded them the 'KIT Performance-Based Scholarship Certificate and Scholarship'.

The 'Advanced Field Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence University Project' promoted by the government is a project focused on fostering talent in advanced fields by linking with regional strategic industries. Korea University is the lead institution, and Seoul National University, Hanyang University, Kangwon National University, Jeonbuk National University, Pusan National University, and Kyungnam College of Information & Technology are participating together.
After the completion of the first phase, which integrated the resources and platforms of participating universities nationwide, the second phase aimed at expanding the project's achievements is currently underway.
Heo Gwangseon, Head of the Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence University Project Group, said, "Kyungnam College of Information & Technology is establishing a specialized talent development model for the energy new industry sector through industry-academia-research collaboration and advanced education," and added, "We will make even greater efforts in the second phase of the project to nurture on-site professionals for the energy new industry required in the era of carbon neutrality."
