The number of reports of school deepfake false video damage submitted to the Ministry of Education has exceeded 500. The number of victims, including students and teachers, reaches about 800.
The Ministry of Education announced on the 30th that 38 additional damage reports were received over the past week as of the 27th, bringing the total cumulative reports this year to 504. During the same period, 36 additional investigation requests were made, totaling 417 investigation requests.
In this survey, the number of victims increased by 111, reaching a cumulative total of 833. Among the 111, 107 were students, the largest group, and 4 were teachers. Among the cumulative victims, 799 are students, 31 are teachers, and 3 are staff members.
The Ministry of Education and schools have linked support for deleting deepfake false videos to 218 of the total damage reports, an increase of 20 in this survey.
