National shooting athlete Kim Yeji has joined the 'UNICEF Team' campaign, engaging in sharing activities for children.


The Korean Committee for UNICEF (Chairman Jung Gap-young) announced on the 23rd that "Kim Yeji, the silver medalist in shooting at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has newly joined the 'UNICEF Team' campaign." It is known that Kim Yeji participated in the campaign as a talent donor and personally delivered funds at the filming site.


Regarding this, Kim Yeji said, "My desire to become a wonderful mother and a good athlete seems to have led me to the 'UNICEF Team,'" adding, "Becoming a member of the UNICEF Team that protects children worldwide makes me feel even more responsible as a mother and an athlete. I will continue to do my best to support any work for children around the globe."


Jo Mijin, Secretary General of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, stated, "Kim Yeji’s rise to the top with passion and perseverance aligns with the strong will of the 'UNICEF Team' that protects children worldwide," and added, "We sincerely thank Kim Yeji for lending her positive influence to the 'UNICEF Team' campaign. We ask many people to join the one and only team that protects children, the 'UNICEF Team.'"


Meanwhile, Kim Yeji won the silver medal in the women's 10m air pistol event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her competition scenes attracted great attention on domestic and international social networking services (SNS), and she was included in NBC USA’s list of 'Top 10 Stars of the Paris Olympics.' Recently, Kim Yeji announced that she was cast as a killer in the spin-off short-form series 'Crush' of the movie 'Asia.'
