Gangneung New Residential Area 'Hoisan District' Location
Up to 28 Floors, Total of 329 Households
Kumho Construction announced on the 30th that it plans to sell units of ‘Gangneung Atera’ next month in the Hoesan District of Gangneung.
‘Gangneung Atera’ will be developed on 536 Hoesan-dong, Gangneung-si, Gangwon Province, consisting of 3 buildings with 2 basement floors to 28 above-ground floors, totaling 329 households with exclusive areas ranging from 84 to 166㎡. It offers various floor plans including medium, large, and penthouse types with exclusive areas of 84㎡, 99㎡, 115㎡, 146㎡, 147㎡, and 166㎡.
‘Gangneung Atera’ is Kumho Construction’s first ‘Atera’ brand complex supplied in Gangneung, featuring various specialized elements. The 28-story high-rise design provides expansive views and a sense of openness, and ample parking space (about 1.6 spaces per household) will be provided. Specialized community facilities such as an ‘on-site camping zone’ and a ‘pet garden’ for companion animals are also planned.
The Hoesan District, where the complex is located, is gaining attention as a new residential area in Gangneung. Currently, there are about 1,600 apartment units, and in the future, approximately 2,440 more units along with various lifestyle convenience facilities will be developed. Once all development is completed, it is expected to become a new large-scale brand town representing Gangneung.
The wide-area transportation network is also notable. ‘Gangneung Atera’ is adjacent to major roads including National Route 7, National Route 35, Yeongdong Expressway, Seoul-Yangyang Expressway, and Donghae Expressway (Samcheok-Sokcho), allowing convenient travel to various outlying areas by car. Additionally, Gangneung Intercity Bus Terminal and Express Bus Terminal are nearby, facilitating easy public transportation access. The complex is also close to KTX Gangneung Station, enabling travel to key Seoul areas such as Seoul Station, Cheongnyangni, and Yongsan in about 2 hours. Furthermore, development projects such as the Gangneung-Incheon Gyeonggang Line High-Speed Railway (scheduled for full opening in 2029), Gangneung-Jejin Donghae Bukbu Line (scheduled to open in 2027), and Gangwon-Honam axis high-speed rail network (Gangneung Station to Mokpo Station, scheduled to open in December 2027) are progressing smoothly, promising even more convenient transportation in the future.
The complex also boasts excellent living infrastructure. Various convenience facilities such as Gangneung City Hall, Gangneung Public Health Center, Gangneung Medical Center, and food material marts are located nearby. Since it is also close to Gyodong, which is considered the core living area of Gangneung, convenient living is expected from the early stages of occupancy. A pine forest stretches right in front of the complex, allowing residents to enjoy natural views from their homes. Additionally, the nearby Namdaecheon Stream walking trail along Namdaecheon is ideal for exercise, walking, and various leisure activities.
High future value is also anticipated due to development benefits. The ‘Gangneung Natural Bio National Industrial Complex’ project is underway in the Gujeong-myeon area near ‘Gangneung Atera.’ Gangneung City expects economic revitalization effects such as a regional production inducement effect of 6 trillion KRW and employment inducement of about 20,000 people through this project. Currently, full efforts are being made for the final selection of the national industrial complex, and after a preliminary feasibility study, the final announcement is expected by the end of this year or early next year.
