Cheonan City and the Chungnam Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency will hold "Cheonan Light in ARARIO" at the Arario Sculpture Plaza from the 4th to the 13th of next month.
Cheonan City in South Chungcheong Province is working to discover diverse tourism industries, including hosting nighttime tourism events.
Cheonan City and the Chungnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency announced that they will hold 'Cheonan Light in ARARIO' at Arario Sculpture Square from July 4th to 13th.
'Cheonan Light in ARARIO' was organized under the agreement for revitalizing nighttime tourism in Cheonan, signed by Cheonan City, the Chungnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, and Arario Co., Ltd.
The festival will feature a variety of programs that will light up the autumn nights, including media art such as media facade, light shows, and holograms linked to artworks installed at Arario Sculpture Square like 'Manifold' and 'Millions of Miles', as well as small-scale jazz and classical concerts.
In addition, experiential programs incorporating new technologies, such as interactive media art and laser drawing using smartphones, have also been prepared.
The event will be held every day from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM for two and a half hours.
Mayor Park Sangdon said, "Through this event, Arario Sculpture Square, one of the eight scenic spots and a landmark of Cheonan, along with the Sinbu-dong area, will emerge as a popular nighttime tourism destination," adding, "We will offer the beautifully shining night of Cheonan, which is different from the day."
