'2024 Paju-Hadano Youth Exchange Group' Hadano City Cultural Exploration

Sister City Youth Participate in Camp Activities and Festival Tours

'2024 Paju-Hadano Youth Exchange Group' Hadano City Cultural Exploration The Hadano City cultural exploration of the '2024 Paju-Hadano Youth Exchange Group' has been taking place over 3 nights and 4 days from the 27th to the 30th.

Gyeonggi Paju City announced that the '2024 Paju-Hadano Youth Exchange Group' conducted a cultural exploration of Hadano City from the 27th to the 30th, lasting 3 nights and 4 days.

The 'Paju-Hadano Youth Exchange Group' is a regular youth program with Hadano City, Japan, a sister city of Paju. It is a follow-up project to the Paju-Hadano English Camp held in August, targeting participants of the English camp who wished to be dispatched.

About two months after the English camp ended, students from both cities reunited and stayed at Omote Danza and the outdoor activity center within Hadano National Park, engaging in camp activities, participating in Hadano City festivals, experiencing tea ceremonies, and touring Asakusa in Tokyo, spending meaningful time together.

Lee Chang-woo, Director of the Autonomous Cooperation Division, stated, “We hope that the youth from both cities, who fostered friendship through continuous exchanges linked to the English camp, will maintain their friendship even more deeply through ongoing contact in the future.”

Hadano City, located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, has a population of 160,000. Since establishing a sister city relationship with Paju in 2005, the two cities have actively engaged in various exchanges including administration, civic organizations, and youth exchanges.
