Sacheon City Accepts Additional Applications for 'Forest Income Subsidy Program'

Sacheon City in Gyeongnam will accept additional applications for the eco-friendly forest product cultivation management sector from September 30 to October 11.

The subsidy project for eco-friendly forest product cultivation management aims to suppress the use of herbicides and chemical fertilizers, restore soil fertility with organic fertilizers, and establish a foundation for the production of eco-friendly forest products.

Forestry workers who wish to apply for the project should prepare documents confirming their forestry management status, such as a business plan and an agricultural management registration certificate, and submit them to the local town or district office.

The city will finalize the recipients and quantities through a selection process for the submitted subsidy projects, and the support rate will vary depending on the fertilizer grade (subsidy of 2,000 to 1,600 KRW per bag).

In addition, the city has been promoting projects in the forestry income sector of the agricultural, forestry, and livestock food industry for forestry workers every year, accepting applications from January to February and providing support according to the allocation of national funds for the following year.
