Received 'Korea's First' Certification from Korea Management Certification Institute
SK C&C announced on the 30th that it has obtained the first domestic certification for the 'AI Management System (ISO/IEC42001)' from the Korea Management Registrar (KMR), recognized as an official institution for artificial intelligence (AI) management systems.
The AI Management System is the first international standard in the AI field established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). This standard provides a framework to ensure that organizations developing and providing AI systems can effectively manage system risks and fulfill ethical and social responsibilities.

The Korea Management Registrar was designated as the first domestic official institution for the AI Management System by the Korea Accreditation Board (KAB). The Korea Accreditation Board is a national accreditation body designated by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, responsible for evaluating and accrediting certification bodies in various management system and qualification certification fields.
SK C&C received the first domestic certification for the AI Management System from the Korea Management Registrar. It was explained that the certification was obtained through enterprise AI services successfully established and operated in various domestic and international industries.
During the on-site audit, it was proven that all processes related to the implementation of the AI management system?from enterprise AI solution-based service planning and design to development, introduction, operation, and maintenance?comply with international standards. It was also confirmed that AI risk factors are systematically managed, further enhancing the reliability of AI services.
Jiwon Cha, Head of SK C&C AIX Business Group 1, said, "Through international standard certification, we will focus more on providing optimal enterprise AI services to our customers," adding, "We will continue to apply international standards across customer AI systems to achieve AI innovation with high reliability, transparency, and safety."
