KODAS 2024 to be Held as 'Largest Scale in Korea'
This Year Marks the 15th Event... 350 Consultations Conducted
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on the 30th that it will hold the "2024 Korea Defense Industry Export Comprehensive Consultation" (KODAS 2024) at the Intercity Hotel in Daejeon on the 2nd of next month.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, and organized by KOTRA, this event is the largest export consultation meeting in the domestic defense and security sectors, marking its 15th edition this year.
The exhibition will feature 76 domestic companies from various fields such as drones and anti-drones, tanks, armored vehicles, aviation parts, and communication equipment, conducting approximately 350 consultations with about 50 buyer companies. The consultations will include key purchasing officials from 16 countries, including major overseas government agencies such as the Slovak Ministry of Defense, Jordan Defense Development Authority, Mexican Navy, Colombian Navy, and Philippine Police. On the day before the event, on the 1st of next month, a technology seminar introducing Korea's advanced defense technology will be held. Companies such as Hanwha Systems, D&S Technology, and AhnLab will demonstrate their products at the seminar.
Lee Jae-sik, head of KOTRA's Defense Materials Trade Support Center, said, "KODAS is expected to be a venue where global defense industry demand trends can be identified," adding, "We will collaborate with overseas trade centers to provide follow-up support so that the export consultations and technology seminars can lead to contract signings."
