Israel: "20 Hezbollah Commanders Including Nasrallah Eliminated"

The Israeli military announced on the 29th (local time) that at least 20 commanders of the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, including its top leader Hassan Nasrallah, have been killed.

In a statement on the same day, the Israeli military confirmed, "Along with Nasrallah, at least 20 Hezbollah commanders have been eliminated, one of whom was Nasrallah's head of security."

Earlier, on the 27th, the Israeli military announced that it had eliminated Hezbollah leader Nasrallah in an airstrike on Dahieh. Hezbollah also confirmed this.

Additionally, the Israeli military stated in the announcement that it conducted another targeted airstrike in Dahieh, a Hezbollah stronghold on the southern outskirts of Beirut, Lebanon, that afternoon. It also confirmed that another senior figure, Nabil Kawuq, died on the 28th due to the airstrike on the southern outskirts of Beirut. Kawuq, commander of Hezbollah's preventive security unit, was reportedly directly involved in recent terrorist attacks against Israel.

Foreign media reported that Kawuq was the seventh senior Hezbollah figure to have died in Israeli airstrikes over the past week. Kawuq, along with Nasrallah's cousin Hashem Safieddine, was considered a strong candidate for the next leader.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military released visual materials explaining that many key figures in Hezbollah's military command structure were killed the previous day. According to this data, nine out of ten senior commanders under Nasrallah at the top were eliminated.
