This photo exhibition was planned to rediscover the value of modern cultural heritage disappearing due to rapid industrialization and urbanization, and to raise awareness of the importance and necessity of preserving modern cultural heritage.

The exhibition showcases non-designated modern cultural heritage built from the opening of the port era to the industrialization period of the 1960s, reflecting the era and lifestyle of the time.

The exhibition is categorized into ▲religious facilities ▲educational facilities ▲industrial facilities ▲childcare facilities ▲other facilities. Visitors can compare current appearances with old photographs from the past and also view vivid scenes from the 1950s through video footage.

The photo exhibition will be held at the Gyeonggi Museum from October 1 to October 20, and then continue at the Gyeonggi Sangsang Campus from October 21 to November 8.

A representative from the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation explained, "Through the 'Investigation and Management of Non-designated Cultural Properties in Gyeonggi Province' project with the Historical and Cultural Heritage Center, we continue to investigate and research non-designated cultural heritage that is outside the legal protection system. Through this, we aim to discover cultural heritage with preservation value and seek ways to efficiently manage and utilize it."
