KOTRA is holding a joint consulting session with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to support domestic companies in responding to the European Union (EU) Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and is recruiting participating companies.

On the 29th, KOTRA announced that it is recruiting companies to participate in the 'EU Supply Chain Due Diligence Response Consulting Project' together with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and EY Hanyoung. The CSDDD mandates due diligence implementation and disclosure of response measures regarding ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors such as human rights, environment, and governance caused by corporate management activities. It was approved by the European Parliament and the EU Council and came into effect on July 25. It will be applied sequentially from 2027 depending on the size of the company.

KOTRA, together with EY Hanyoung, is recruiting 16 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies. The consulting will cover diagnosis of ESG implementation status within each company’s supply chain, development of company-specific checklists and derivation of strategic tasks, internalization, and strengthening of execution capabilities. Selected companies will receive 50% support for consulting costs. The project period is until the end of February next year from the date of selection completion.
