Voluntary Employee Participation Spreads Nationwide Talent Donation
Samsung Electronics Service announced on the 29th that it will carry out a sharing activity to clean and inspect home appliances used by youth preparing for independence free of charge at 11 Samsung Hope Didimdol Centers nationwide. This activity was organized to provide practical help to youth preparing for independence by utilizing the specialized technical capabilities of its employees.
Samsung Hope Didimdol is a social contribution program that started in 2013 with funds donated by Samsung Electronics employees who came up with ideas to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Samsung's New Management Declaration. It supports housing and emotional stability for youth preparing for independence.
Since establishing the first center in Busan in 2016, it currently operates centers in 11 locations nationwide, including Daejeon, Gwangju, and Daegu. Since last year, through the employment education project 'Samsung Hope Didimdol 2.0,' it also provides technical and functional education to help youth preparing for independence achieve economic self-reliance.

The impetus for this talent-sharing activity began with the voluntary sponsorship activities of employees at the Samsung Electronics Gumi Service Center. Since April last year, they have been conducting activities such as free home appliance inspections and donating proceeds from flea markets for youth preparing for independence at the Gyeongbuk Center. As this news spread, a consensus on sponsorship activities for youth preparing for independence was formed among Samsung Electronics Service employees, leading to nationwide expansion.
About 150 service employees from 48 service centers nationwide participate in the talent-sharing activity. They plan to provide essential home appliance management services such as sterilization cleaning of air conditioners used in summer, air purifier filter replacement, and inspection of household appliances like refrigerators and washing machines, supporting youth preparing for independence to live in a comfortable environment. Additionally, they will carry out further support such as donations of daily necessities.

Seung Yeon-hee, Director of the Chungnam Child Independence Support Agency, said, "We sincerely thank the Samsung Electronics Service employees who helped our youth live in a comfortable environment."
Lee Cheol-gu, Vice President and Head of the CS Support Office at Samsung Electronics Service, said, "It is even more meaningful that the voluntary sponsorship activities of employees have expanded into nationwide talent donations. We will continue to actively support various activities linked with service sites and local communities nationwide."
