BNK Gyeongnam Bank is making every effort to ensure the successful hosting of the 105th National Sports Festival, which will be held this October in Gimhae and the Gyeongnam region.
On the 28th, BNK Gyeongnam Bank carried out an environmental cleanup volunteer activity in preparation for the 105th National Sports Festival.
About 450 people, including Bank President Ye Kyungtak, employees, and Gimhae Mayor Hong Taeyong, participated in the volunteer activity, which took place at Gimhae Sports Complex and the Samgye-dong area.
BNK Gyeongnam Bank employees conducted environmental cleanup volunteer work by picking up various types of litter and waste scattered throughout the area, using tongs and garbage bags.
Previously, starting from the 24th, BNK Gyeongnam Bank launched a large-scale relay volunteer campaign to wish for the successful hosting of the National Sports Festival.
Over five days, about 150 employees from the headquarters and local branches visited major National Sports Festival venues such as Miryang Sports Center, Yangsan Sports Complex Indoor Gymnasium, Tongyeong Gymnasium, Goseong County National Sports Center, Changwon Football Center, Haman Sports Town Football Stadium, Haman Gymnasium, Jinju General Indoor Gymnasium, and Sacheon Gymnasium, where they worked hard to pick up litter in the surrounding areas.
Bank President Ye Kyungtak said, "The 105th National Sports Festival must take place in a pleasant and clean environment to leave a good impression of Gimhae and Gyeongnam on athletes and spectators. Many BNK Gyeongnam Bank employees shared this sentiment, which led to the large-scale environmental cleanup volunteer activities."
He added, "We will spare no support at the bank level to ensure the successful hosting of the National Sports Festival in our region. I hope many spectators will visit Gimhae and Gyeongnam, where the 105th National Sports Festival will be held."
Meanwhile, prior to the environmental cleanup volunteer activity for the 105th National Sports Festival, BNK Gyeongnam Bank conducted a flood recovery support volunteer activity on the 23rd in the Pungyu-dong area of Gimhae, which was damaged by heavy rain.
