On the 27th, JTBC's 'Case Manager' shared the story of Ms. A, who met her regular employee boyfriend while interning during her senior year at university and got married due to a premarital pregnancy. The couple hurriedly got married and started living in a villa owned by the mother-in-law. The mother-in-law, distrustful of the young couple, took control of the finances, insisting on managing the salary herself.

Ms. A lived in the same villa as her in-laws and received living expenses from them, while the mother-in-law checked the household ledger daily. She even questioned every expenditure down to 100 won. The mother-in-law frequently rang the doorbell and visited unannounced, and told pregnant Ms. A, "Lying down because you're pregnant is bad for the baby," making her do outdoor recycling and stair cleaning.

One day, Ms. A’s mother visited and was shocked to see her heavily pregnant daughter cleaning the stairs. That same day, she supported the couple with the deposit for a new place and helped them move out independently. After giving birth to a son, Ms. A reportedly improved her relationship with her in-laws.

Ms. A was a full-time housewife for seven years after having her child, with her husband managing the finances. After their child grew older, Ms. A got a job as a nursing assistant and told her husband, "From now on, I will manage the money," only to face an unexpected situation. For the past five years, the mother-in-law had been asking the husband for money, saying, "Think of it as savings," and he had been giving her 1 million won monthly as an allowance. Upon learning this, Ms. A became angry and took her child back to her parental home. During this time, when their child fell ill and was hospitalized, Ms. A encountered her mother-in-law and husband again. The mother-in-law scolded Ms. A, saying, "You need to think kindly for your child not to be sick. I will return it several times over. Isn't it annoying that a mother uses her son's money?" Ms. A finally declared, "I want a divorce," and returned to her parental home with her child.

The husband, in an agitated state, came to his wife's parental home and argued with the mother-in-law, saying, "My mother was growing our money and returning it as it was." He then tried to forcibly take their sick son. The mother-in-law grabbed her son-in-law by the collar and he responded, "Hit me," moving his head forward. Then the mother-in-law said, "You can't take my grandchild," grabbed his hair, and shook him. Later, the father-in-law came home and tried to stop the fight, but the husband returned and filed an assault complaint against the mother-in-law.

Ms. A told 'Case Manager,' "When I went to the police, they said the only way is to persuade my husband well to withdraw the complaint," adding, "But neither my husband nor I have any intention of apologizing to each other."
