"Underwear was down and eyes were unfocused"
A car that was dangerously swerving across the center line eventually crashed into the central divider, and it was reported that the driver was driving half-naked after drinking alcohol at the time.
On the 26th, a video titled "A staggering car ahead, turns out the driver was half-naked and drunk? Tried shaking the unconscious driver awake but... could no longer wake him" was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Han Moon-cheol TV.' The informant, Mr. A, shared the dashcam footage and said, "The light changed and the car started moving, but the way the driver was driving seemed strange. The car crossed the center line and came back, and even though there was a car in the adjacent lane, it kept swerving between lanes. I thought maybe it was due to drinking or drowsiness, so I kept a distance and followed. Sure enough, not long after, the car crashed into the central divider and bounced off at a 90-degree angle." The dashcam footage shows that the brake lights of the accident vehicle were not on until the moment it hit the central divider.
Mr. A said, "I thought it was drowsy driving. Even after the accident, the driver did not get out, so I thought he might have lost consciousness. I stopped my car and went to the accident vehicle." He continued, "When I pulled the door handle, the door opened, and the moment I asked 'Are you okay?' I couldn't believe my eyes. The driver's left leg was resting on the dashboard next to the steering wheel, and his underwear was pulled down below his knees while he was driving." He added, "The airbag had deployed, and the driver was in a dazed state. It wasn't just the shock from the accident; his eyes were completely unfocused. I tried shaking his shoulder to wake him up, but he couldn't regain consciousness. Every time I shook him, his private parts also moved. I couldn't wake him any further, so I closed the door and called 112." He explained the situation at the time.
Mr. A provided the police with the situation report and the dashcam footage. Later, he said, "I asked the police, and they said a breathalyzer test was done." He added, "It was scary to think that someone could drive in such a dazed state." He also expressed curiosity about why the driver was driving half-naked. Lawyer Han Moon-cheol, who saw this, emphasized, "Still, Mr. A's courageous action to check on the accident vehicle and prevent secondary accidents should be praised."
