Fire at Indian iPhone Factory: "1,500 Evacuated, No Injuries"

Mobile Phone Accessory Painting Line Fire

Local media reported that a fire broke out on the 28th (local time) at an iPhone manufacturing factory located in southern India.


The fire occurred around 5:30 a.m. that day at the mobile phone accessory painting line inside the Tata Electronics factory in Hosur City, Tamil Nadu. Approximately 1,500 workers who were on duty at the factory at the time safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. However, the police stated that three people showing symptoms of breathing difficulties were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Thick smoke from the fire spread to the surrounding area.


Local media reported significant property damage due to the fire, but the exact extent of the damage has not been disclosed. Tata Electronics confirmed the fire at the Hosur factory in a statement and said that an investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
