Encouraging Goyang City Athletes... "Achieve Brilliant Results by Demonstrating Skills in the Best Condition"
Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang City is taking a commemorative photo with the Goyang City athletes of the 35th Gyeonggi-do Sports for All Festival on the 27th. On the 27th, Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, attended the opening ceremony of the ‘35th Gyeonggi-do Sports for All Festival 2024 Seongnam’ held at the main stadium of Seongnam Sports Complex, a festival celebrating the unity of Gyeonggi-do amateur athletes, and encouraged the Goyang City athletes.
Mayor Lee said, “I would like to express my encouragement and gratitude to the athletes who have been sweating for the three days of fierce competition,” adding, “I hope you will demonstrate your skills to the fullest in the best condition so that your efforts will not be in vain and shine the prestige of Goyang Special City.”
Meanwhile, the 35th Gyeonggi-do Sports for All Festival, held in Seongnam City for three days from the 27th to the 29th, will be attended by about 20,000 athletes and officials from 31 cities and counties in the province. Goyang Special City will participate with about 820 athletes in 24 events, competing in fair competition.
In particular, Goyang Special City showed its strength as the host city by winning three crowns?Performance Award, Model Award, and Achievement Award?in the Division 1 team category at the ‘34th Gyeonggi-do Sports for All Festival 2023 Goyang’ last year, raising expectations for even better performance in this year’s competition.
